FERNANDO COBELO

My name is Fernando Cobelo, I was born in Venezuela in 1988, and I am an illustrator. My work is characterized by the use of clean, defined, essential, almost childlike lines. Through my pieces, I seek to explore a universe made of surreal dreams and very real nightmares, with a simple and naive expression that invites the observer to rediscover fragments of themselves. My illustrations are designed to stimulate thoughts, move feelings, and transport people into a world of fascinating personal encounters.

This emotional approach has given me the opportunity to collaborate with clients such as The New York Times, The New Yorker, the United Nations, Google, Penguin/Random House, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, TED, Walt Disney Studios, La Repubblica, UNICEF, Vanity Fair, Lavazza, Zanichelli, Montblanc, Barilla, WIRED, Netflix, HP, Kiehl’s, Harvard, Sony, Samsung, and Swatch. My work has been recognized by various prestigious institutions, including the Society of Illustrators in New York, Autori di Immagini, the Association of Illustrators in the UK, and American Illustration.

I have also had the honor of teaching and conducting educational activities at numerous Italian universities and institutions, such as IED, LUISS, and the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation, as well as at schools and universities internationally in Mexico, India, Russia, China, Venezuela, Bulgaria, and Turkey.

I am excited to be part of this project, where my illustrations will find a new dimension, becoming t-shirts that are not just clothing but true vehicles of emotions and meanings. I strongly believe in the power of art to transform the everyday, and I am happy to share this vision with a community of artists and people who appreciate it.
